My Trumpeting Experience

Ever since I was 9 years old, I have been fascinated with the trumpet. This has led me to some of the most rich and fulfilling experiences of my life, from jazz, band and orchestral ensembles to having the privilege of performing in the U.S. Marine Corps’ most premiere drum corps, “The Commandant’s Own”. Below I’ve listed three of the major aspects of my current playing career.

“The Commandant’s Own”

For a brief period of time from 2013 to 2015, I was in the U.S. Marine Corps as a MOS 5512 Bugler with “The Commandant’s Own” U.S. Marine Drum & Bugle Corps in Washington, D.C. Click the button to see this DCI show I was in.

LoFi Trumpet Guy

During the COVID-19 pandemic, like a lot of other musicians, I decided to start streaming online to keep my creative juices flowing. Today, I have a slowly-growing channel of fans who want to chill and listen to me improvise over lofi music.

Maller Brass

I met David Maller – the owner of Maller Baroque Brass Instruments – playing for a Christmas concert in 2019 with the Altoona Symphony Orchestra in Altoona, PA. Since then, I’ve become an apprentice to the art of brass instrument making.
